Fredrik Malmberg co-founded Paradox Entertainment in 1999. Mr. Malmberg serves as the company’s President and CEO, and directly oversees film development as Producer. Malmberg facilitated the purchase of Conan and the Robert E. Howard library on behalf of Paradox Entertainment and continues to manage the exploitation of the properties through various media and licensing. He is also the President and CEO of the Sweden-based parent company Paradox Entertainment AB (publ).
Prior to his positions at Paradox Entertainment, Mr. Malmberg was Founder and CEO of Target Games for 19 years. At Target, he developed many successful international character brands across a broad range of product categories, including Mutant Chronicles, Chronopia and Kult. He also built a successful retail chain of Tradition gaming stores in Sweden. Mr. Malmberg is a member of the Producer’s Guild of America.
Leslie Buhler joined Paradox Entertainment in September 2007. She oversees Paradox’s licensing department working with our internal properties and 3rd party properties to develop products from video games to publishing, toys, apparel and more.
Prior to Paradox, she was a co-founder and vice president of The Licensing Group, an independent agency representing such properties as Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Rambo, Mortal Kombat and Baywatch. She has served as a west coast vice president of the International Licensing Industry and Merchandiser’s Association (LIMA) and as a mentor to students for its certification program.
Previously, she worked at Carolco Pictures, producer of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Rambo, Total Recall, and Basic Instinct.
Torsten Engevik is based in Stockholm and, in Fredrik Malmberg’s absence, responsible for the Sweden-based, NASDAQ OMX-listed parent company’s affairs. His responsibilities include financing as well as handling of stock market issues and financial reporting to the investment community. Engevik is part-time employed, and in parallel to his responsibilities to Paradox he engages externally as an IT- and Management consultant.
His management background includes several CEO and Board positions within Swedish food distributor and retailer ICA, CIO and COO for two telecommunication companies and CFO for a property management company in foods.
Janet Shepard joined Paradox Entertainment as Chief Financial Officer in April 2011 and is responsible for all consolidated financial operations in the US and Sweden. Reporting directly to the CEO and Board of Directors, her responsibilities include financial planning, cash flow management, project financing, quarterly/annual financial reporting as well as management of human resources.
Her background includes several CFO positions in a variety of industries including entertainment, publishing, internet and manufacturing. She also spent 14 years in business turnarounds working closely with companies to successfully build their profitability and cash flow.
Daniel Wagner joined Paradox in July 2007. As President of Production he oversees all aspects of physical production for Paradox’s slate of films. Prior to joining Paradox he worked for Tre Vänner AB (Sweden) where he was responsible for development and production of several films and television shows; Metronome A/S (Denmark), one of Scandinavia's largest production companies and Motlys A/S (Norway). He was also a line producer for Sonet film AB (Sweden), the largest independent film distributor/production company in Sweden. Wagner also worked as a stock broker and financial analyst for Omega Partners in London.
